Don’t Forget Dad This Father’s Day!

Father’s Day 2017 is around the corner, and the clock is ticking.  If you want to give dad, or the guy in your life a unique gift, get him a breaking dad vinyl record wall clock. It’s been a big hit for the die-hard Breaking Bad fans out there so far. That special guy in your life can never be replaced, nor can the award-winning series.

Breaking Bad, The Series

Breaking Bad was undoubtedly the best television series that aired beginning with the premier in 2008, through 2013. It closed with a record-breaking viewer count of over ten million, excluding post series viewers like my ex and I.

“It Was The Best of Times.” “It was the Worst Best of Times.”

My significant other and I were post-series Netflix viewers. Our eyes remained glued to the TV and our butts, stitched to the sofa. My boyfriend was the designated remote clicker , ready to take immediate action, for bathroom breaks. If there was the remote possibility that we missed one syllable of dialog, armed with that clicker, he’d take swift action. I fondly remember our Breaking Bad ritual; we’d cuddle while we intently watched the screen. It was the best show ever, and the best time ever.

When it Began

The premier of Breaking Bad, a creation of Vince Gilligan, aired in 2008 and ran through 2013. Bryan Cranston, the unforgettable Walter White,  code name, Heisenberg, was remarkable, as was the hilarious Bob Odenkird, who played the role of Saul Goodman, Esq. The show ended with over 10.3 million viewers , and won the Top Emmy Drama Prize.

Walter’s memorable meth-cooking tightey whiteys were up for auction at Sony Pictures and Screened with a starting bid of $250. They sold for $9,900. The underwear was on exhibit at New York’s Museum of the Moving Image before they sold. Sure leaves a question mark in your mind;  who would spend $9,900 for a pair of men’s undies?

If you haven’t caught this cult series, it still available on Netflix. Binge watch with friends, or plaster yourself to the sofa with that special guy in your life; you’ll be glad you did.  Memories are irreplaceable, so if you haven’t made any lately, Break Out of your routine and get on it![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
